The BGC Kawarthas provides a safe, supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life.
Big brothers and big sisters of kawartha lakes
Mentors with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kawartha Lakes – Haliburton teach by example, challenging and supporting young people and helping them realize their potential to succeed and thrive.
Community Care Little Chefs Program
Children ages 6 to 12 get a chance to experience hands-on cooking, enjoy homemade healthy lunches and snacks, and take home culinary creations to share with family and friends.
Kawartha Art Gallery’s Kids Interactive Art Program
The Kawartha Art Gallery is dedicated to fostering awareness, enhancement and enjoyment of the Arts through its collections, exhibitions, and programming for the benefit of the citizens of the City of Kawartha Lakes.
Lindsay Lightning Bolts Swim Program
The club recognizes that sport can create a positive environment for children to develop mentally, physically, emotionally, and socially. The Optimist and Rotary clubs co-sponsored the start up of the team and the team sweatsuits of the day carried both insignia.
Lindsay Lynx girls hockey Program
The purpose of the LGHA is to develop, direct and promote Girl's Hockey in the City of Kawartha Lakes and surrounding area in conjunction with the Ontario Women's Hockey Association (OWHA) at House League, Recreational, and Competitive levels.

FLATO Academy theatre
The Flato Academy Theatre for Performing Arts, as it is known today, is a busy cultural centre, operated as a non-profit organization.
Kawartha Trans Canada Trail
The Kawartha Trans Canada Trail offers a natural recreational corridor for people of all ages and abilities. The historic railway bed is now a magnificent recreational corridor with a crushed limestone surface.
Kawartha lakes arts council
The Kawartha Lakes Arts Council's mission is to help our community discover, appreciate, and enjoy the work of those who create and express our culture through the arts.
Kawartha Lakes Food Source
Kawartha Lakes Food Source is a community effort to reduce hunger in the City of Kawartha Lakes by maintaining a central distribution centre to supply food to organizations that provide food to individuals in need.
Royal Canadian Legion Remembrance Day
Your Royal Canadian Legion is committed to making a difference in the lives of Veterans and their families, providing essential services in our communities, and remembering the men and women who sacrificed for our country.
lOCAL SCHOOL COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIPS
Every year, the club recognizes one student in each of the four secondary schools in the City of Kawartha Lakes and at Sir Sanford Fleming College Lindsay with a $500. scholarship for demonstrating exemplary school and community leadership.
